News

Freshstart have been talking about doing a car boot sale for a few months now as they receive a number of quality goods that they can't use in the starter packs. Our Saughtonhall volunteers at Freshstart  were keen to get involved. On a Saturday in November, the car was loaded up and the group headed to Corstorphine car boot sale held in the car park of Corstorphine Zoo. The day stayed dry but very chilly. Unfortunately, the sale was not very well attended and a number of cars left having only made around £10. Thankfully a few of our other volunteers turned up to offer their support. Despite the poor turnout, the ladies managed to raise £50 for Fresh Start..

ECUDARE

Working with our MCT partners, we are supporting the work of ECUDARE in Kenya who help women with Aids. See attached link for full details.

Our followed on from a visit to us by Esther the project Director (pictured right) in summer 2008. Some members of Saughtonhall Church will be visiting Kenya in Autumn 2010
