Aileen Kells MBE

Sunday 23rd November was a day of celebration. It was our church’s 79th birthday at which  we welcomed a number of new members.  A special occasion also for us as we recognised the investiture in early November at Buckingham Palace  of our GB leader, Mrs Kells.

A host of guests joined us on the day including Division commissioner Dorothy Tweadie and some former captains, together with some of the current members and their family members as well as Mrs Kell’s family. Officers Claire, Cristy, Lindsay and Stacey all took part. Lindsay demonstrated her ‘trumpet’ skills during the final blessing which was followed by a short video about Mrs Kells time in Girl’s Brigade. We then joined together to enjoy a celebration cake and coffee
