Sleeping Over with Chimps-
The Edinburgh Girl’s Brigade camp house is in serious need of upgrading and refurbishment. Going to camp is an important part of the activities for the girls and we wish this to continue to be a fun and enjoyable experience.
As part of our fundraising for the camp house refurbishment project we held a sponsored sleep over with the chimps at Edinburgh Zoo, on the Bundogo trail (pictured below). This was a unique experience, the first time the zoo has let Girls Brigade members sleep over in the trail. During the night we had a guided walk (pictured below) in the zoo and saw a family of wild badgers. We also made toys for the chimps to play with
Some sleeping was had although we discovered Chimps are very noisy at night!
Thanks to all who supported us, approximately £4,500 was raised towards the camp house refurbishment
