YOUTH DRAMA GROUP
YOUTH DRAMA GROUP
The inaugural meeting of Saughtonhall Youth Drama Group was held on Friday 6th June at 6pm in the church. For those aged 10-16 with budding talent to take part in shows, either acting or technical. Supported and led by members of the adult drama group, including one young member who is due to appear in the playhouse this summer.
Come and learn some of the tricks of the trade, prepare performances and act out short and longer plays. Initially limited to 20 young people to ensure high quality coaching and the opportunity to take part.
As a special treat we have lined up a private lunch with a professional theatre company appearing in the Edinburgh Fringe. This really will be an opportunity not to be missed!
Trips, outings and other activities are all being planned, with members having their say
This group will build upon the successful inclusion of young people in our last two productions- the pantomime Sleeping Beauty last November and the drama men Should Weep earlier this year. This not only saw two young people on stage but also the technical sound systems were run by one of the youth drama members (see below)
