Festival Time. Edinburgh so world renowned for its summer festivals, ranging from films, to books, arts and the largest of them all, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. We are pleased to play our part in this, with our Drama Group staging a play in the first official week (9-14th) and us hosting the festival praise service on 15th August. As this years play required additional staging where the choir normally sit, they had a new elevated position on 1st August, when we had a guest preacher from South West proving, Rev Viv Henderson who was in Edinburgh for the Fringe. On the 8th we turned the church through 90 degrees to allow for the set building.

Bowling and Birthday.  Ken Norrie had a double celebration on 1st September, when he not only was on the winning team in our ‘Saughtonhall Bowling cup’ competition, but also was celebrating his birthday . Ken kindly shared his cake with  the rest of the competitors in the club house at Balgreen Bowling Green
